Puerto Madryn Argentina

The city of Puerto Madryn is located in the eastern region of the Province of Chubut on the Atlantic coast in the Patagonia region of Argentina. It is considered one of the best places in the world for watching marine animals in their natural habitat. Puerto Madryn is the base for most tourists who come to see two beautiful Nature Reserves. These are Peninsula Valdes and also Punta Tombo. Both of them are unique wildlife sanctuaries. Here one can see penguins, a great number of sea lions, elephant seals, dolphins, a wide variety of birds and whales. Whale watching is very popular activity and attracts tourists en masse. The UNESCO has declared the Peninsula to be a Natural World Heritage. The clean waters, the whole untamed nature, the wild Patagonia environment, and the idyllic solitude of a huge desert works like a magnetic force for nature lovers. But don’t despair, there are loads of tasty restaurants and some excellent shopping in town, plus lovely sandy beaches.
